RFJ refugee - I think I know the loco. The Visalia Electric 44 tonner? It's not kept in one of the car barns? A little over 30 years ago my wife and I rented a caboose on the Spring wildflower train pulled by the VE 502 that went north from RVJ. It was a nice ride. Our group had a lot of fun.

One of the things I forgot to point out on the IRM equipment barns is that they are laid out so that you can view at least one side of them. It's a track next to the wall, a wide walkway, two tracks next to each other, another wide walkway, then a track next to the other wall. It looks like X__XX__X. When I was there I think they had 7 buildings and only the restoration building was inaccessible. All of the other ones were open so that you could see the equipment.
