Donner Summit Tunnels Being Nominated For National Register Status

The Forest Service, Tahoe and Chinese Historic Organizations are nominating the snow shed/tunnels on the old line for National Register Status. The 2019 cellebration apparently renewed interest in the site, which has become pretty trashy of late due to easy public access. I assume UP is on board with this since it must still be their ROW. The Forest Service produced a film "Legacy" to promote the effort. Maybe Jeff Moore has something he could add?
