Sadly it seems too many have misbehaved and forgotten we are guests of Altamont Press. They have no legal obligation to give anyone an unrestricted platform.

Is it time to simply wish this forum a fond farewell, or require registration to allow posting with a complaint button on each post so we might self moderate? (But not about grammar, spelling or opinion - just those too far from rail related discussion or to create hate and discontent.)

After all, this is supposed to be a "discussion" forum, and as such you don't need to read every post or agree with every opinion expressed here. Let the trolls emboldened by their anonymity find another bridge (since AP owns this one) to demand a toll to pass.
