The camera operators on VR are zoom happy, like a newbie using a video camera for the first time.

Dramamine is helpful if you're planning on watching.

Note that you almost never see a camera zooming in or out in a professional production, be it for television or film, unless the director does it for effect.

I never zoom in or out during a shot. I will zoom to a certain focal length, if I can't get close enough, and leave it there for the whole shot.

Also, some of their cameras appear to be be extremely wide angle, bordering on fisheye. It's the same with quite a few drone camera videos that I've seen on YouTube.

I abhor the awful geometric distortion that a wide angle lens produces, especially for a linear subject like a train.
