Oh yeah, the PLA only wants to operate their tourist railway. That would be the railroad they rebuilt from scratch themselves that they are sharing with the GGRM. Have you heard of any other volunteer organization who has done that? On who's rails does the GGRM plan to use to tour California with their equipment? UP hasn't shown themselves to be open to having non-UP steam on their rails. Seen the 4449 in California lately? How often did the GGRM operate on CALTRAIN and how much do they expect to run there in the future? The fact is that if it wasn't for the PLA and the railroad they built in Niles Canyon the GGRM would have a restored 2472 and no-where to run.
