Thanks for responding, Drew. San Jose since 1949. You're 5 years older than I, born up the Pensinsula in San Mateo. I do not have any real memory of SP steam, but I'm sure I saw it, as my dad commuted on the SP from the City to Hillsdale where we lived, and Mom and I would walk down to the depot to meet him..

A screw mount Pentax. I started with a screw mount mamiya/sekor in 1969. I only wish you'd have told me to stick with Kodachrome II with ASA 25. Going to college in Oregon with the gloomier weather, I went to Ektachrome and an ASA of 64. Alas, some of those slides have weathered the years just fine, others haven't.
