Such a wreck was not unknown.

The other one was those Marmon trolley buses. All riveted plates for the body - looked like (though probably not really) they were recycled battleship iron. Anyway, nearly every one had a neat little dent at about normal car headlight height below the driver's side window. One guess about how those got there...
