Well, two possibilities spring to mind, both sarcastic and purely coming from the Switchman's bitter point of view...1) The Train of Death...because it hits more cars/pedestrians/trespassers than most other jobs...2) It attracts nothing but old heads, and vacancies only occur when one dies off. Try not to take me too seriously!

I used to live in Torrance, and yet was generally unsuccessful in catching that job with my camera, but once I got a few shots of it coming back from the recycler plant near downtown Torrance...and there were still a handful of traction bonds if you knew where to look (1998)!
