The average drive time at 5 pm is less than an hour from downtown Nashville to the end of the line at Lebanon.

Residents along the line know the roads can be congested at rush hour, but when you tell such an obvious lie they are going to tune the rest of the message out. "If you're lying about that, what else are you lying about? Cost? Ridership? Everything?"

This is a major reason transit initiatives fail so often. Voters hear the same habitual lying politicians pushing it, the same constantly lying media pushing it, and assume the worst.

"Activists" are their own worst enemies.
