Metrolink Commuter Service from Riverside to Perris is scheduled for 2009-2010. Extensions to San Jacinto and Temecula are being planned to follow. Yes this will be a major upgrade of the first section paid for by the Riverside County Transportation Commission. The Depot at Perris has been restored. And, most service would run through to LAUPT. Three people were on Metrolink from Perris to LA today (11/24/21) .
I was one of them.
You can whine about all the excuses(Covid/Holiday/91) you want. It won't change the fact that A TON OF MONEY was spent building this line with very little ridership to show for it.
RCTC is tone deaf to "butt in seat" miles.
At least Riverside got new windows out of this fiasco.
$5 a gallon fuel will seem cheap after you compare the cost of your "per mile charge" every month! Coming soon from your insurance company!
Nice steam double head roll by in Von Ryan's Express on the telly right now!
Watchin' the ground flag, duck under the bumpers and lace up between two pieces of still moving equipment until the bumpers crash (with ground still between) will raise the hair on your arms! Ain't no 5 hand out the cab on that move!!!
Happy Injun corn day eve!
