I dont know about your other questions but the new SW1500s on the MET are not in service yet. Besides, I would spend my time shooting the 70 Tonner Club while it still exists. Plenty of tim for Cruds in the future. The new April issue of Railfan has an article on Central Valley railroading that may help with Class I ideas and shooting the MET.

SJVRR is further south, near Frenso and nowhere near Stockton.
