PE DISELS ON THE AIR LINE:

The famous Santa Monica Air Line, which saw its last passenger service in October, has been invaded by diesel locomotives in regular service. The Western District is the last stronghold of the electric locomotive, which may be gone within the year. Line car #00157 has been in the West almost daily.
