Witness: Amtrak crew left station despite knowing passenger was shot (he died)

Watch the top video. In it a passenger says that after the shooting on the train the Amtrak crew was aware of it but decided to leave Lees Summit station and go to the next stop at Independence. Which is 16 minutes down the line. Why not get the ambulance immediately in Lees Summit? Did they leave out of fear the shooter could return? Police say they got a call at 9:15pm, the train left Lees Summit at 09:08pm. The passenger interviewed criticizes the crew.
