If anyone should understand the internet, it is "Gen Z" (the youngest among us)! So why, oh why, do they want capital-intensive trains when all information and all meetings can be done over the internet at nearly the speed of light... FOR FREE! Oh yes, young people don't understand the value of money or economics yet, expect perhaps as it relates to their tuition payments.

I have a suggestion:

As a nation, let's separate ourselves from Europe and China. Instead of taking on crazy debt and wasting money on pretty fast trains (that sometimes fly off the rails) like they do, let's let companies learn to exploit the internet instead. In short: No high speed rail.

Building crazy expensive trains just creates the incentive for inefficient and wasteful behavior. The gubmint needs to stop incenting inefficient behavior! (Pounds fist on table)
