The current series of storms pounding Northern California will come to an end on Friday with dry, cool weather next week, warmer around middle of next week, then cooler but dry for Winterail.
Very heavy snow with blizzard conditions on the Hill tonight with I-80 shut down. Snowfall is averaging 2" an hour with 12" new snow today at Truckee and double that at Summit. Snow depth will exceed last years depth at weeks end. There will be lots of snow for 844's westward trek over the Sierra. Anybody going up tomorrow will see the full complement of flangers and spreaders.
