One plus for the current Oakland Coliseum is the BART station. Folks from all around the bay use it to go to games. I read that even A's players (like outfielder Johnny Damon) would take BART to the stadium.

For the Howard Terminal site, BART is at least a mile walk in any direction. More people would drive there.
