A business I know near downtown LA after decades left the state moved to Las Vegas (cheaper and safer), the old neighborhood is infested with crime and homeless, they lost their building insurance, the smell, rats, fleas and garbage are overwhelming, their customers were afraid to come, their vehicles were broken into many times, the useless city, police and building owner did nothing, the fire department fined them for allowing the homeless to set fires to the piles of garbage, nothing but absolute stupidity!
