This project was identified as a "priority' nearly 30 years ago.

Rosecrans grade sep starting construction, finally....

It was good to see the lists of FRA grants, especially the "public-private" engineering grant to the Brightline Tampa extension, and what seem to be "better vetted" grant applications for the other projects. So far the process, for the new infrastructure program at FRA seems a lot better managed than the previous "process free" "zero oversight" and "no enforceable conditions" grants that were handed out "willy-nilly" to the politically "sexy" projects under the Obama rail stimulus programs, like the CHSRA federal grant fiasco.
