The exMLW trackage in Butte was
switched by the Montana Western
which has now reverted back to
BNSF Copper Div.

Central Montana Rail runs
the exMLW Northern Branch
based out of Denton and
connects with BNSF's Laurel
Sub at Moccasin. Unfortunately
they haven't had many customers
since BNSF built shuttle loaders
nearby. Most revenue today is the
stored cars or Charlie Russell
Dinner trains. And there was a massive
grass fire last year that took out
an elevator across from their roundhouse.

They have 3 huge trestles worthy if a visit.
