It should be noted that the last time the Republican Party changed the tax code they decreased the income (except of course from those who could no longer deduct their state taxes) and increased the spending. As basic arithmetic shows, that increased the deficit.

The bill being discussed increases the income more than it increases spending, thereby reducing the deficit. Imagine that.
