The container cars ( Well cars ??? ) you saw were probably returning from the intermodal car repair facility in Chehalis, WA. This facility is located on the far South stub of the ex - MILW line to Unalaska/ Mossyrock. Most sidings on the line are already full of stored cars; Maytown siding was cleared out to allow construction equipment to access the I - 5 widening project.
