Nevada Northern blood & gore special

Why does Nevada Northern put so much blood and gore in their Halloween train? Are they trying to desensitize children to this stuff? Gross. That content used to be restricted in theaters to adult audiences. But in Ely it is OK for 5 year olds, or what?

It does give a glimpse into the mental level of Ely people, though. So that is a useful data point (Note to self: avoid rural Nevada).
