If he said something so contradictory, then I would guess he is bowing to political pressure. That is a bad sign when supposedly non-partisan positions are corrupted by politics.

The vaccine never should have become politicized. I know one family that chose to follow one of the "anti vax" narratives that went around, and one of them died of Covid. What a fiasco.

It's hard to believe anything on the internet any more, whether it's a historical narrative on a fallen flag railroad, or medical advice. The 'net is paradise for people who want to cause trouble.
