Well, let's correct that situation here and now. The "mentally ill Canadian illegal alien in a sanctuary city" lives in The People's Republic of Berzerkeley, and that city used to be served by a now-abandoned Santa Fe branchline, with much of the right-of-way being chosen by BART when it built it's line to Richmond. The people of Berzerkley, however, felt that they were too good to be subjected to a Chicago-style "EL" running through their city like the Disneyland monorail so, at great expense, BART was placed underground in the Berzerkley city limits. Snobbish elitists existed way back in the 1960s, even if they drove VW vans, had pony tails and smoked dope.
