Glad you liked the story. The train was only stuck for about 5 to 8 hours. The engineer in the picture was dead-heading back to Monroe that day and with as clogged as the pass was, he didn't get back to Monroe until 26 hours after first going on duty the previous day. So he was paid for 26 hours.
