The other thing the project might do is generate interest in extending it to Fisherman's Wharf. At least, connecting it with the Embarcadero lines there might encourage an extra dozen or 2 riders. And no, I don't mean running it in subway all the way - that would be dumb, but I have no doubt Muni could figure out a way to make it necessary. If that were done it *could* be a modern F (Stockton) line.
