Most of those boxcars are waiting to go to Campbell Soup for loading. Once Campbell Soup closed these no need for the yard. When this picture was taken it was a car shop. Locomotives had moved to Stockton. This picture was taken quite late, maybe 1982. The circus loading area has been abandon and moved over by the field tracks. The neighbors complained and got it shut down. Trailer loading was then moved to Stockton.
