Re: SP logging locomotives

Not about the SP owning logging locos but in the Eugene OR area during steam time it was a practice for logging railroads to sometimes send their loco over the SP to the SP shop in Eugene for maintenance. In a 50 mile radius of Eugene there were a lot of logging railroads. There might have been an independent shop or two also doing this work.
