It's likely the baggage car was one of the lot that SP purchased in 1961-1962 from ACF or Pacific Car & Foundry. I think it was the latter that had the roof with sharper angles, rather than the smooth radius that blended in better with the Budd or P-S streamliner cars. I actually though they looked better in the original gray.
