A Google search bring up a TO thread. It is probably 4460 on the "Farewell to Steam" excursion, October 18-19, 1958, Oakland to Sparks.

What makes you say THAT? Are you aware that back in the late 1980s, the then "management" of the Saint Louis Transport Museum, had a number of their steam locomotives COMPLETELY sand blasted and re-painted. The poor NKP Hudson and the SP 44600 were done that way!
Didn't the Cab Forward get sand blasted too? Why do museums shoot abrasives into machinery anyway?
