This is just great!! Thank you Sam for sharing this!!! I car hosted in one end of the articulated Daylight car with the SP 2472 pulling during the 1992 NHRS Convention on a trip from San Jose to San Francisco and back. Neil Vaden was the engineer and what an experience that was. I since moved to the east coast and this really made my day!! Again, thank you!!

On the way back to San Jose, we had to stop short of the Sunnyvale station for a northbound commute. When we were underway again, Neil had the the 2472 and the 14 Daylight coaches at 60+ mph by the time we were going by Lawrence. Nothing but good memories!
