Being discussed right now on KIRO 7 News Seattle. The Seattle Holgate Street closure is likely the best possible result, as this street bisects the Amtrak / Sounder maintenance yard. The smart Seattle drivers already avoid this crossing due to many train movements daily. Overpasses exist only 1 mile south @ Lander St., and 1/2 mile North at Edgar Martinez / I-90 interchange. A pedestrian walkway overhead would serve a purpose for those attending sports & concert events at Mariners Stadium & Lumen ( Seahawks ) Field.
