No sign of railroad, even old embankments, in Elk Hills, as viewed in Google. They might have shipped from Taft or McKittrick in the old days, but even those tracks are long gone (McKittrick per the story above; Taft now a bike lane in town). Presumably the track between McKittrick and Taft (if there ever actually was one) vanished a LONG time ago.
