Once upon a time I was part of team that met with the Air Force when they were interested in developing their "Missiles on Rails" program. Mind you this was all pre-Internet days. They were rather shocked when we told them they'd never roll a single train without the railfan network knowing about it. Naturally they didn't want to believe us until somebody went to their desk and came back with a copy of Trains magazine.

That wasn't even the funniest part of the meeting either...
