Thanks for the info. Yeah, that's an important bridge. Did the whole town get torched?

Since I can't make edits, here's an addendum:
Upon re-reading the Streamliner Schedules webpage, I see that, in 1954, service was still being offered to Walla Walla, and all of the branch line trains, to Walla Walla, Yakima, Lewiston and Moscow offered coach and sleeping car accommodations EXCEPT the one to Moscow. Coaches only for that train. Service to Walla Walla disappeared first, followed by Yakima. The train to and from Wallace, ID was also viewed as a coordinated extension of this service. The late Gordon Zimmerman of San Francisco and Yamhill, OR told me that the Spokane-Wallace train lasted until April 30, 1971 as it was listed as a mixed in employee timetables but not public timetables. He noticed the 30-day train-off notice for the train just before Amtrak began and he said it was hard for UP to deny its existence if they were posting a train-off notice for it. He managed to ride the caboose shortly before the train quit carrying passengers on Amtrak day.
