Another bizarre one was Pullman Jct. on Chicago's Southeast side. ( Maybe in Indiana, since Erie Lackawanna ran through on the C&WI. ) This place featured EIGHT different railroads doing -- something -- at " ... one of the largest non - interlocked at - grade railroad intersections in the country." This quote per pg. 12 of Erie Lackawanna in Color - Volume 1 - The West End. The picture shows several rotating lights of different colors, Looong crossing arms, and semaphore or train order blades.
