IIRC, the current route is N out of Cincy to Hamilton, then W on a route that heads to Indy. These would be former B&O N of Indy, IINM the route is a piece of the Monon. If you have access, Passenger Train Journal had a detailed of the evolving routes as PC non-maintenance and thenConrail abandonmrents destroyed several routes. At the Cincinatti end, the former C&O of Indiana Cheviot Hill route was abandoned by Chessie as they unified several yards to create Queensgate. At the Chicago end, the C&O of Indiana had used an Erie segment to reach the C&WI so when Conrail ended Erie operations, the Monon connection to C&WI was used.
In the East, after CSX gave up trackage rights on the OOrange & Alexandria a change there occurred also. Enjoy! you will be riding many miles not in use on your previous trip!
