At 1:55 into the video, smartly-dress and carefully-coiffed Fox Reporter Ashlie Rodriquez tells us that 'overall, according to NYPD statistics, subway crime is *down* about 4% from last year.'

But the graphic shows there were 1,901 subway incidents in 2022 and 1,981 incidents in 2023 - so far.

Actually, that's a 4.2% *increase* year-over-year (using the above numbers).
But that's data for just 11 months in this year.

Extrapolating to a full year, 2023 could see as many as 2,161 subway incidents in NYC.
That would be an increase of 260 incidents: that's +13.7%.

It's time for someone to take a math refresher class, with fresh batteries in the calculator and a Thermos of strong coffee.

Fox News - Fair and Balanced.
But we never claim to accurate.
