Apparently SB922 has made trolley wires categorically exempt from CEQA, which overcomes the usual NIMBY “wires are ugly” chorus.

Trolley options may be drying up among Buy America vendors, but booming worldwide with new In Motion Charging tech to free the bus from the wires without having to lug around a massive battery pack.

I think the future is bright for the trolley bus.
