Thanks for the comment. We took SF560 out for an unannounced test run Sunday afternoon. We put a few miles on it going back and forth from Carbarn 7 to members crossing. Everything worked fine except the horn. Will fix that Saturday. The mainline at the museum is tied up with the Polar Express event and won’t be back open until January. At that time we will show the locomotive to the public. The restoration is essentially complete other than for detail work in the engine compartment, etc. it’s a very cold blooded engine and has to be preheated with a block heater in chilly weather. So any use has to be preplanned and started a day earlier. There is no decision yet if it will be added to the RunOne program at the museum.
