Feather River Canyon - Scheduled In The Dark

I was looking over an Official Railroad Guide for August 1936 and noticed that Western Pacific's lone passenger train, the "Scenic Limited", ran through Feather River Canyon both directions in the dark!

I also noticed the SD&AE ran its passenger trains both ways through Carriso Gorge in the dark!
