One addition for the sake of clarity:

BCR owned/operated the Tumbler Ridge branch but they weren't responsible for actually moving the unit trains to the coast for export; rather, they handed the traffic to CN, who moved it via their own rails to Prince Rupert BC, where it was transloaded into ships for export to Asia.
