Here's a photo I took on August 19, 1995, TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS AGO, of Milwaukee Road 261 when it was starting out with a steam excursion from Scranton, PA to Binghamton and Syracuse, NY. This was a run-by near the Steamtown shop complex where the trip began and then we boarded the train and took off for upstate New York. We travelled over the Tunkhannock Viaduct, which is an amazing piece of engineering, made in an era when concrete was cheap.

The lighting and steam output at this runby was better than I figured it would be and this has turned out to be one of my best photos of the Milwaukee 261.
