I do not see anything on the Friends of 4449 website yet. Actually, I would imagine that they will not have anything about ticket availability for these particular private railcars. You would have to go through California Zephyr Railcar Charters for that. There website is:

As the announcement notes, there is nothing on their website YET, but it will be updated soon. In the meantime, you can email them at the address provided if you would like further information.

I wish I could afford this trip as it looks awesome! I have traveled on all 4 of these private cars and they are a lot of fun. They are a real class act on the Silver Lariat/Rapids/Solarium, and the Colonial Crafts is a nice lounge car. But the price is a bit too steep for me. I saw an ad over on another railfan website, and I think the cost one-way (the entire way from west to east) was somewhere around $4,000. But if you can afford it, go for it! Chance of a lifetime.
