Deadhead S/B Coast Starlight Friday ???

Stopped at the crossing in North Auburn, WA., Friday at 9:20 AM; I saw the S/B Coast Starlight pass by with 2 Chargers, baggage, and 7 passenger cars. Was this train running ahead of its' scheduled time ? Was it a deadhead move to Portland, OR.? Perhaps it had deadheaded N/B Thursday between Portland & Seattle for servicing ?
