We used to leave our vehicle across the street from the Suisun City station where many commuters leave their cars on a daily basis. We would then ride a Capitol Service train to either Davis or Martinez and transfr to the Starlite or a San Joaquin train. Our trips were usually 2-3 weeks and there never was any problem, no permit required either.
