I found these posts on Reddit. There are several posts between the two. I can't speak for the veracity of the posts but have no reason to disbelieve them.

It's gone, for now. The owner, Mike Maskel, passed a few months ago. The funds that remained for the site have ran out and they can no longer pay for the domain. Hopefully the pictures can be recovered from the site or from the source. It will hopefully work itself out.

It's beyond slow. I get "server busy" all the time now. Only way it seems to kinda work is from a fb messenger link it's in. And it's beyond slow that way.
