Nation's Airline Employees Will Soon Be Advocating for More Rail Passenger Service
If we had a more extensive rail passenger network, all the drunkards and lowlifes could take a train instead of an airplane. More than enough of them are doing that as we speak.
This Adam-Henry was trying to get from Las Vegas, NV to Bozeman, MT. Good luck trying to do that on Amtrak.
Back in the "good old days", he could have taken UP from Vegas to Butte and NP from Butte to Bozeman.
Back in the "good old days", if he was misbehaving, the conductor and brakemen could have taken him up to the baggage car to have him identify his luggage. Too bad, so sad if he would have fallen down a dozen times, blackening his eyes and busting his lip while he was in the baggage car. The rough roadbed near Dillon caused people to lose their balance a lot. There weren't any witnesses, were there?
But stuff like that happened back in the "good old days." Now, we have police departments that have had all their authority stripped by liberal, activist Democrat mayors and George Soros-financed District Attorneys, police departments that have been defunded, police officers losing their qualified immunity, meaning they can be sued for millions if they do something not in the regulation handbook, and liberals are suggesting that social workers answer the calls and conduct counseling sessions with the bad boys, with follow-up sessions scheduled a month or so later.
The military is even assuming this kinder, gentler approach.
