Does anyone know the current status of the White Pass and Yukon route steam program? In the 2023 Tourist Train Guidebook it stated that the 73 is being rebuilt and should be back for 2024. The White Pass website makes no mention of steam whatsoever. I called the phone number listed for WP+YR and got no answer, voice mail or otherwise, just ringing like in pre answering machine days. IM traveling to Alaska this summer and would like to ride the steam excursion out of Skagway if possible. While were on the subject of Alaskan steam how is the Alaskan RR doing with getting their steam engine up and running? Thank-you in advance.
