Southern Railway Tennessean 1952

Back to the scanning, and thought I would share one of my dad's images this time... I've labeled this the Tennessean as it make sense that is what it is... but I am bothered that there is only one engine and the rail is riding on the outside of the engine, as if this is a switch move... so mabye I'm wrong.

If there are any Southern Railway experts out there who can help me with this, I'd love to hear from you.

Many thanks,

Charles Freericks
